We are looking for a US Controller that is eager to grow within Edisen and make a global impact while building the pathway for Edisen’s US finance and accounting efforts. As the US Controller, you can expect to hit the ground running in our unique creative production & technology landscape in the midst of exciting company developments.
Edisen’s finance function has delivered various strategic projects, including the implementation of the NetSuite ERP and simplification of the group structure. More exciting projects are coming up as we seek to further improve global financial and operational processes. As a key member of the finance team, you will partner with business operations to deliver these projects
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work closely with the CFO, Head of Accounting, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and finance business partners to oversee and coordinate all accounting activities for US entities
- Work closely with Project Managers, Client Support and Finance Business Partners to invoice, recognize revenue, recognize cost of goods sold, and inter-company revenue and costs.
- Manage and oversee all general ledger activities to ensure validity, accuracy, fair reflection and to facilitate a simple year end process such as:
- The preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet reconciliations, budget forecast filing, and Cash Flow for US Entities
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end procedures, tax support and work papers, annual audit work papers and budgets
- Ensure accurate and timely compliance with tax requirements, such as periodic reporting, occasional tax queries, State tax submissions, and the issue of 1099s and contractor payments
- Perform monthly payroll reconciliations, and pass appropriate payroll entries
- Monitor, review and report bi-weekly working capital reporting across accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash balances
- Manage annual tax and audit requests and provide support as appropriate
- Responsible for efforts to maintain sound banking relations, ensuring up-to-date signing requirements
- Review and post journal entries, assist in journal entry preparation when needed, whilst keeping proper transaction trails and JE support
- Establish and maintain best practices for financial processes, adherence to global standards, policies, and compliance
- Take ownership of maintaining systems and controls that verify the integrity of all current and past data for the entities under your stewardship to ensure queries can be answered efficiently.
- Understand, contribute and participate in 401k activities on the 401k committee
- Collaborate with Swedish and Singapore teams to align on GAAP group reporting, whilst understanding and abiding by local US requirements
- Be a team player and assist with global financial and accounting related projects and activities as needed
WHAT YOU NEED
To be considered, candidates must be located in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, MA, MI, NY, TN, TX, VA
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration
- Preferably 5-7 years experience in an Accounting or Financial role ideally with a small to medium size CPA-firm
- Advertising, Technology or Professional Services experience is a benefit
- Career path ambitions of management or leadership
- A passion for working with people in a dynamic environment
- International experience from either work or studies is a plus
- Fluency in English is a requirement.
- Extremely organized, diligent and detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred
- Experience with the NetSuite ERP is a definite advantage
- Experience working in a global, group environment is a plus

Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 annual salary DOE
