We are seeking an experienced, proactive cross-functional Business Affairs Manager to support business and legal affairs services across our global departments and teams, including production, technology, commercial partnerships, operations, and finance. The business affairs manager is a fast paced and dynamic role, where you will be responsible for the legal oversight and regulatory adherence to the entire business including the production process, business contracts, negotiate relationships and partnerships, as well as offering solutions to various business challenges ensuring forward moving business growth. As part of the commercial team, you will maintain regulatory compliance and risk management across offices and functions. Your ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate across departments will be essential for your success within this role.

This is a full-time role and located in the US or UK. Hybrid or remote working depending on location.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Establish legal best practices and author contractual templates that can be scaled globally enabling Edisen to efficiently contract with talent, partners, and clients.
• Partner with Edisen’s producers and creatives to ensure alignment with talent/production union rules and manage and resolve any talent (union or state) claims.
• Establish an ‘always-on’ cadence by which to raise awareness to the leadership team of compliance and legal issues.
• Ensure that any local service companies meet all required client and regulatory specifications.
• Ensure regulatory clearances and compliance for all business activities.
• Understand and maintain platform and technology contracts, regulations, compliance, and policies.
• Estimate business affairs fee costs and resources for clients.
• Work with producers, client management, and finance to review cost actuals on a monthly basis to ensure costs are in line with client estimates and overages or savings are treated in accordance with client contracts.
• Monitor workflow and information security compliance and escalate, help resolve and improve as necessary.
• Manage all global and regional business insurances, renewals, and vendor relations.
• Investigate legal and financial inquiries, provide proper documentation when necessary, and organize and maintain legal files as appropriate. 

WHAT YOU NEED 

*To be considered candidates in the USA must be located in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, IL, NJ, NY, TN, NV, VA

• Law Degree
• 5- 7 years of experience in a business affairs role
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role within the production, marketing, or entertainment industry
• Experience working with technology or platforms contracts and negotiations is highly preferred.
• Ability and desire to travel locally and internationally on an as-needed basis

Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 USD annual salary
