There is nothing ordinary about Edisen. Therefore, we are looking for an amazing addition to our Platform support team full time in our San Diego office.

Our platform support team helps our high-profile clients manage long and short-form video content production and distribution with cloud-based applications. This is a relatively new field of business. Edisen projects also include video streaming with advanced network architecture for sites located across the US.

Hourly Rate: $20 - $24 DOE

WHAT YOU'LL DO

· Expected to be in San Diego office Monday – Friday (approximately 9-5pm) to access essential office tools and equipment to support client needs

· Help global customers resolve issues reported via a ticketing system by collaborating with Edisen team members

· Follow standard procedures for proper escalation and follow the service level agreement

· Maintain accurate documentation and detailed records of server health history

· Support the local office IT requirements managing networks and device registration with the company’s infrastructure

· Take part in 24-hour on-call pager duty weekly rotating roster with 4 other team members to resolve occasional critical issues for clients

· You’ll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities to provide support globally

· You will receive training to complete the following responsibilities:

· Learn our technology platforms and how to test/repair/maintain Linux operated video server hardware

· Prepare and document incoming and outgoing shipments of servers

· Configure IP addresses to multiple servers in a private domain

· Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve customer issues

WHAT YOU NEED 

· 1 year or more of relevant experience or similar position

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

· Find fun in technology; ability to learn a variety of techniques and skillsets

· A thirst for learning and the ability to use knowledge to guide clients and colleagues through their issues.

· Collaborate with other team members who share roles and responsibilities

· Desire to broaden your skillset to grow into your role and accept greater responsibility and rewards

· (Preferred) Working knowledge of basic Linux commands and bash scripts

· (Preferred) Basic knowledge of IT infrastructures and networking environments
